These bars run parallel to one of the graph axes and provide critical insights into the data's reliability and significance. Why Include Error Bars on a Graph? Error bars are included in graphs for several reasons: Data Spread Around the Mean : Small Standard Deviation (SD) Bar : Indicates low data spread, meaning the data points are closely clustered around the mean.
